Cameron on Stereo Cinema

An insightful interview with James Cameron on stereo cinema at Variety. I agree with him that 2k/48 non-interlaced is the way to go. I would like to see that as a new display standard in general; it is preferable to 24 on a deep level of artifacting as Cameron points out, it's infinitely preferable to 29.995 for accurate framerate calculations.

Cameron's description of his pipeline is interesting as well, in particular the details of where the pipeline is 2d and 3d has practical notes that can only come from years of refinement.
